Results
The overall eGovRTD2020 project results are visionary scenarios for eGovernment RTD by 2020 and a roadmap with the full innovation cycle towards a large and consistent RTD initiative for eGovernment development in Europe. This includes:
- Detailed characterization of the baseline and strategic goals in new citizen-centered innovative government organizations, including research topics, trends and emerging issues,
- Identification of contributing areas and relevant actors (basic constituency, mechanisms to involve government agencies, avoiding the risk of citizen exclusion), and creation of the necessary community,
- Suggestion of the modus operandi, i.e. how to integrate the strategy for the European leadership in eGovernment and mechanisms to insure continuous input / adjustment for an implementation approach in the next framework programmes,
- Suggestion of an appropriate monitoring and assessment approach (mechanisms, regulations, and structures), and
- Identification / selection / assessment of relevant / promising pilot application scenarios.
